We were delighted to welcome back our pupils in the Senior Room today. Our focus for the day was to enjoy each other’s company and we did exactly that. The children were delighted to see one another and we enjoyed a walk around Ballinaculla together to catch up and to enjoy the lovely weather.

We came back to school on Monday. It is great to see my friends again. We checked the hedgehog bunker and guess what? She was awake after hibernation! We learned about her in the classroom. We learn the mandolin every Tuesday – chords, songs and tunes. We were excited to see Jean for PE again. […]
The children in the Junior Room were introduced to Hailey the Hedgehog by Mr O’Leochain. They learned lots of interesting facts about her and released Hailey onto our school grounds. Last November the children made a Hedgehog Bunker as part of science week. Mr O’Leochain also showed us a fancy pigeon this week. We gave […]
We are a committed Green School and recently our pupils took part in a poetry competition with An Taisce to celebrate Clean Air Week. They did a terrific job. We really appreciate the lovely, clean air which we have in Clonown 🙂

We are a committed Green School and are delighted with this recent success. Our project was on Marine Environments. We look forward to working on […]
For Art this month we used large stones which we collected at the beach and painted them using our own designs. Brendan varnished them for us. Didn’t we do a lovely job!

We focused mainly on water pollution. The Senior Pupils also held workshops for the Junior pupils which the children really enjoyed. […]
