We love science in our school. For Science week Cell Explorers from Athlone Institute of Technology came to our school to carry out a workshop with the children. We had great fun. Firstly, we learned about DNA. Then we did a hands-on experiment in groups with a leader from the AIT. In this, we extracted DNA from a banana, Then we learned more about the structure of DNA. We then built a DNA model using molymod kits. It was a brilliant day and we hope you enjoy looking at our photos.
