We went to the Recycling Centre in Golden Island as part of our Green School’s Project. Our theme is Litter and Waste Globally. We hope to receive our 9th Green Flag with this project. We each brought an item to the centre to recycle. We learned a great deal about recycling. For example, there is a number on the bottom of plastic bottles and containers. The higher the number, the less likely the chance that this item can be recycled. This is because of the chemicals that are added to make the plastic. The more chemicals that are added, the more difficult it is to recycle. We should all limit the amount of plastic that we use in everyday life and recycle as much as possible.
