We received our National Flag recently. A 6th class pupil read a piece from the Proclamation. Another 6th Class pupil accepted a copy of the Proclamation on behalf of the school. Second class are preparing for their First Holy Communion in May. They are following the Do This in Memory of Me programme. Pupils get involved in Sunday mass in Clonown with the Readings, Responsorial Psalm, Prayers of the Faithful and the Offertory Procession. This is a very special year for the children.

We went to Athlone Castle before the Mid-term break. We were shown around that castle museum and we also completed a history & maths trail. It was brilliant fun and we learned so much. We are so lucky to have this great facility in our town.
