We were awarded our 12th Green Flag from An Taisce recently. As a committed Green School, the staff and pupils worked hard on their recent project, Global Citizenship – Travel. We celebrated our award with a trip on the Viking Boat. What better way to spend an afternoon together 🙂

Pupils in the Junior Room had a great day at the A.I.T. today for the Let’s Go School Tour.
We celebrated our school centenary on Friday – 100 years of Clonown N.S. We had a marquee at the back of the school and parents, neighbours, past-pupils and friends came to join us. Pupils in the Senior Room went to David Walliams’ ‘Gansta Granny’ in the Olympia Theatre. It was a brilliant show. We went to ‘Billionaire Boy’a couple of years ago and loved that too. We can’t wait for the next production. There is nothing like a live performance.
We had a brilliant Sports Day again this year. We had full use of Clonown Sports Field and the Community Centre and we were very grateful. 3rd to 6th class really enjoyed their school tour today to Tayto Park. It was a lovely, sunny day and everything went so well. We went on lots of the amusement rides, enjoyed looking at the animals in the zoo and had fun in the playground. We’ll all sleep tonight! 🙂
