Our strawberries, potatoes and wild-flower bed are doing really well. We enjoy watching them grow and taking care of them.

Pupils from Clonown N.S. enjoying Bike Week. We walk, scoot or cycle to school every Wednesday, It is so much fun and pupils really enjoy this initiative. Today was particularly enjoyable in the lovely weather.

Pupils on our Green School Committee attended the Canal Awareness Event in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on Thursday. Well done to Athlone Canal Heritage Committee, Our Lady’s Bower and all the guest speakers on a brilliant event. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We went for a walk along our lovely canal before returning to school.
This time the children focused on collage with Catherine. They first learned about Henri Rousseau and studied his famous Jungle Collage. Then the children created their own jungle collage using old magazines, coloured card and their own drawings on white paper. The results were fabulous; a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
