We are celebrating Maths Week this week with a focus on Chess. We are having so much fun. All pupils, Junior Infants – 6th Class are following the Chess lessons with their teacher on Ficheall.ie at their own pace each day. For example, pupils in the Junior Room focused on the pawn on day 1 while pupils in the Senior Room learned about the pawn, rook and knight. At the end of the week we are having a small, fun Chess Tournament in pairs in the Senior Room.
