We celebrated Bike Week recently. Many of our pupils cycle to school everyday, all year round. We are very proud of them. All our pupils and staff walk/scoot to school together each Wednesday. We all enjoy this initiative.

Thanks to Charlie for inviting us to the tag-rugby blitz on Thursday at Dubarry Park. The children had a brilliant day.
Well done to all our pupils in the Junior Room who received medals from our Gaelic coach Alan recently. Alan comes each Thursday and we are very grateful for all his hard work and encouragement. The children love his training sessions.
We held our sunflower day on Friday in aid of Roscommon Hospice. We each wore something yellow to school, planted sunflower seeds, enjoyed a sunflower colouring competition and we managed to raise €100 for Roscommon Hospice. Well done everyone and thank you for your participation for this great cause.
Well done to pupils from Clonown NS on winning the Cumann na mBunscol quarter-final on Tuesday. We wish you all the best in your semi-final on Monday. Thanks to Aughrim NS for a great game and a warm welcome.

As part of their Junior Entrepreneur Project, pupils in Clonown NS will hold a Clonown Fun Day on Sunday 19th May at 3pm at the Sports Field. Admission €5. Movie and cake sale afterwards in the hall at 4pm. All welcome, please support.
