Padraig Duncan came to our school to help us plant 30 native Irish trees that we received. Everyone got stuck in planting and we really enjoyed it.

Danielle Allison came in June to tell us some stories. It’s the second time this year that Danielle has come to us. We had brilliant fun.

We have been very busy planting seeds recently. We are planting seeds to help save bees! We bought some seed and we collected others from our school yard. We will plant them outside when they grow.

We have received our 8th green flag for our Biodiversity Project. This is a picture of the Insect Hotel that we made in the school yard. All the pupils had a ball making this!
We brought out a new CD this year. It contains 7 tracks and all pupils feature on the CD. The children in the Senior Room wrote a song about Clonown and this song features on the CD. We had great fun creating it and we are very proud of it.
We love nature and take huge care of our school grounds. The children help with planting flowers in containers, flower beds and window boxes throughtout the year.
We go to the library once a month to change our library books. They often invite us to take part in other events such as story-telling and art competitions there. We took part in the Halloween Art Competition and we were very proud when one of our pupils won a prize.
