We go on a School Tour every year. Last year the pupils in the Junior Room went to Glendeer Pet Farm and the Dean Crowe Theatre to see Little Red Riding Hood.

Every year we go on a school walk in Athlone town. Our teachers set out a list of questions and we answer them as we go along. Its a fun day out and a great way of learning more about our town.
We often go on field trips and outings to compliment the Primary Curriculum. In this picture we are on a nature trail in Lough Key Forest Park with two ladies from the National Parks and Wildlife Service. We had a brilliant day.
Music is a very important part of our school days. We play the tin-whistle and sing new songs every week. We often have guest musicians perform for us in our school. John Spillane and Jukebox Gypsy both came to our school to play music for us. We had a great time.
We often go on outings and field trips in our school. In March we went to Rathcroghan, Irish Celtic Royal Site. We also went to the park in Roscommon. We had a great day. Last year we went on a nature trail in Lough Key Forest Park.
Each year we take part in Feile Ceoil na Scoileanna. This year we sang and played the tin-whistle. The songs and tunes we learned were Ni Maith le hEinne Me, the Mountains of Mourne, the Raggle Taggle Gypsy, Beidh Aonach Amarach, the Black Velvet Band and Johnny O’Leary’s Polka. We received our 7th Green Flag in June 2012. Our theme was Travel. We worked very hard on this project. We had brilliant fun.
