Bhí seachtain an-ghnóthach againn le linn Sheachtain na Gaeilge.
Our pupils performed a selection of songs and traditional Irish tunes at Feile Ceoil na Scoileanna in the Dean Crowe Theatre. They also performed in the Town Centre Shopping Centre on St. Patrick’s day as part of Croí na hÉireann Festival.
Our Irish lessons during the week were based around the theme Lá ‘le Pádraig with the children learning a new poem (Lá ‘le Pádraig) and song (An Leipreachán).
They also revised Amhrán na bhFiann and Ireland’s Call ahead of the rugby game on Saturday!
The pupils learned about St. Patrick (i mBéarla agus i nGaeilge) and they took part in the CPSMA art competition in which they drew pictures of St. Patrick. Pupils in the Junior Room made fabulous St. Patrick’s Day headwear.
